A self-contained bench-mounted apparatus for finding the centre of pressure of a totally or partially submerged plane surface

Experiments
Studying the relationship between hydrostatic force and head of water for a fully and partially submerged vertical and inclined plane
Comparison of actual and theoretical hydrostatic force on a fully or partially submerged plane for any given head of water
Theoretical calculation of the position of centre of pressure on a fully or partially submerged plane

Specifications
To consist of a clear Perspex quadrant mounted on a precision engineered steel vertical panel and base plate with levelling feet
Vertical mounting panel to include a fixed scale calibrated from the horizontal axis 220 mm downwards and 38 mm upwards, with intervals of 2 mm
Quadrant dimensions: Inner radius 100 mm, Outer radius 200 mm, Breadth 75 mm. Moment arm radius to be 200 mm
To be supplied with 2x 10 g weight hangers and 100 x 10 g slotted weights
To include a 500 ml bottle of water colouring
To be supplied with a siringe
To be supplied with a spirit level
